Range Rules

 RANGE RULES

1.     Eye and ear protection must be worn at all times while on the range.

2.     No one under the influence or suspected of being under the influence of an intoxicant will be allowed on the range.

3.     No pregnant females or people subject to seizures are permitted on the shooting range.

4.     A maximum of two people is allowed per shooting bay.

5.     Only paper targets are allowed on the range. We reserve the right to prohibit targets we deem offensive or unsafe.

6.     Use the appropriate size target placed at eye level to ensure your shot strikes the backstop and not the ceiling, floor, or track system.

7.     Shoot only at your target from your shooting bay.

8.     Under no circumstance is anyone permitted beyond the shooting bench at any time.

9.     Always keep firearms pointed downrange, even if they are on the shooting rest not in use.

10.  Treat every firearm as if it is loaded and KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER until ready to fire.

11.  Do not hand a loaded firearm to another person.

12.  Use only the correct ammunition for your firearm. All ammo must be checked by staff.

13.  Do not remove a malfunctioned firearm from the firing line; lay the firearm on the shooting bench pointed downrange and ask range personnel for assistance.

14.  When you are finished shooting, unload and clear your firearm before leaving the shooting bay.

15.  You may pick up only your brass if you choose; otherwise, use the broom to push brass into the range.

16.  Do not disturb other shooters while cleaning up your brass, even if it is in their shooting area.

17.  Be sure your firearm is safe to operate, you are familiar with your firearms, and that you know how to use it safely.

18.  All firearms not on the firing line must be unloaded and in their cases. If no case, show clear chamber and magazine separate.

19.  Food, beverages, and tobacco are prohibited on the range.

20.  No tracer, armor-piercing, steel, aluminum, or military surplus ammo is allowed on the range. No exceptions. BRASS AND NICKEL CASED AMMO ONLY.

21.  Commands issued by any range staff must be followed immediately.

22.  If the command “Cease Fire” is given, stop immediately, remove finger from trigger, keep firearm pointed downrange, and await further instructions from range personnel.

23.  Always wash hands after shooting to remove lead.

25.  If you observe any violation of these rules, please notify any staff member so we can correct them.

26.  No drawing from the holster to fire while on the range. Holstered weapons require a carry permit.

27.  If shooting a shotgun, use slug ammo only.

28.  Persons under the age of 21 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian at all times.

29.  When renting a firearm, only use ammunition cleared by staff.

30.  When returning a rental, show action/cylinder open and clear.

31.  Please do not throw and ammunition or brass into trash containers.

32. There is no rapid fire allowed on the range. No exceptions.
